Work highlights
UX Designer II, Principal Financial; Des Moines, Iowa, 2019-2024
Worked with another team’s product owner and developer to create an Information Architecture for their overhaul of the company’s Spanish pages.
Collaborated with a CX, UX and Information Security specialist to streamline the experiences for creating a Principal Financial account, authenticating an identity, and recovering credentials.
Created a flexible template for “product” pages on the public site, and guidelines for their usage. These were adopted and implemented by the design system team, allowing dozens of pages to be built by content publishers without significant designer or developer involvement.
Planned, ran, and synthesized remote research sessions.

Helped plan and conduct ethnographic field research that included contextual inquiry, usability tests, and interviews at insurance agencies. Culminated in an activity-filled “open house” that shared findings about the work experience at insurance agencies.
Created, recruited for, and executed usability research of in-development insurance quoting software.
Created and presented a 20-minute “What’s UX?” segment titled “Get to know the marketing division” session.
